Be There...Aloha.

This past weekend we threw an anniversary party for friends. Luckily for us, the theme was a no-brainer since my friend’s pick-up line to his future wife was “I’m throwing a party. Be there…aloha.” Hey, it worked.
 
Easy enough, I thought. However, I did not anticipate the lack of party supplies in stores this time of year (everything is orange and black!). So I decided to do most of my shopping online, and wanted to share my finds with you.
 
As guests arrived, I lei-d everyone – with bright faux leis…it’s amazing how everyone instantly loosened up. For the couple of honor, I hooked them up with these fresh leis. I found them with a quick Google, and was pleasantly surprised at how inexpensive it was to have them shipped from Hawaii. Score!
 
The biggest hit of the party though, was actually the simplest idea: take out containers. I love these tropical, citrus colored ones from PlumParty.com. Not only did the guests love taking home seconds (ok, maybe thirds…), but it also made the clean-up a breeze for us. I always dread a fridge full of leftovers that ensue for weeks following a big party, and this time I didn’t have to stress about it.
