Getting Carded
As soon as Halloween is over and retail stores start breaking out the garland and lights, I know it's time to start making my holiday shopping list and thinking about holiday cards. There are so many decisions to make…should we send cards at all? To whom? Do we include a photo? Have them pre-printed or emailed?
Confession: We’ve avoided the entire holiday card fiasco by simply not sending any at all (lazy, I know), but now that we have a son whose first birthday falls right around the holidays, we feel added pressure to send off some type of festive greeting this year.
I just found my answer: MoMA Design Store's "Frosty Morning" card. The stylish, non-holiday theme can be sent to friends and family of any denomination…also a big plus when you have many friends in interfaith marriages.
When do you start sending out your holiday cards…and how much is too much to spend?
