keeping shrimp cold?

What are the ways to keep shrimp cold as it sits out for an appetizer? I've seen it just placed on top of a big bowl of ice, but I was hoping for a nicer way to display it! Any ideas?

I was thinking the same thing.  Or there are serving pieces you can get from Pampered Chef or other places I'm sure, where they store ice inside them where you can't see it.

I know I've seen this in person somewhere, but I can't remember where for the life of me.  In any case, I think this is exactly what you're looking for:

I stick ice in the bottom of the serving bowl, cover with plastic wrap so the ice doesn't come in contact with the shrimp, and top with shrimp.

Fill a bowl 3/4 full with ice, then top it with green leaf lettuce leaves, then set the shrimp on top of it. It works great and looks lovely.
