water shoes, yes. the speedo brand of water shoes is reccommended. I used the ones that they rent at the falls(the floppy ones) and it felt as though i had nothing on at all!
ironically beofre i left for jamaica, i was going to buy the speedo ones from costco but chose not to. It turns out that the guide that helped us climb the falls had them on and lent them to me. so i guess that was my impromptu market research.
