Re: Inviting an ex to the wedding

I would defer, completely and without reservation, to what your FI thinks in this matter. If you suspect, for even one minute, even for a smidgen of a second, that it might bother him, even a tad bit, to have someone you slept with for over 10 years at your wedding, then don't invite the ex.

My h invited his ex to our wedding and her not showing up was the best gift she could have gave me. With saying that, he and I dated for two years and she call him crying every so often saying she wanted him back. Ask you fi if he cares and go by that. i didn't even get that respect, she just didn't show.

I agree with Maybride2 ! Just wanted you to know I thought your comment was so true.  I always wonder about the people who don't know the bride/groom why do they go?  Just because I know the parents would make me feel like a crasher.  But since you are asking, my answer about the  ex is no.  I think you have heard enought reasons so I'll just say I leave the past in the past.  But I don't invite friends I haven't seen in more than a year either.

Invited an  ex as well as his wife and family.  We keep in contact via email and phonecalls.  We've traveled for first birthday of our kids!    A friends a friend and it sounds like tht what he is.

My best friend invited her ex to her wedding. He rsvp'd "yes" and then never showed up on the day of. The same thing happened to me when I invited an old ex of mine to our wedding.

Save yourself some postage.
