There is also Pongo's Pet Palace on Hwy. 59 not sure if it's Abita Springs or Mandeville, really close to the border though. It's a bit fancier, but they are really nice and offer other services.
I've never used them because we always need Sunday pick up and they don't offer that.
The storm, is freaking me out a little, though I know I can't worry until this weekend when we see where it goes.
Emily, just watch the news, if they say go, go. Since we're on the northshore there is a less risk of flooding, more risk of tree/wind damage. We won't leave unless it's a upper three or higher. Just get some supplies just in case! (If you go to local news station websites there will be hurricane supply lists... that will give you a start!)
