Supplies

I've been out shopping for three days getting things to get ready for the storm.  Yesterday we had everything we needed except additonal gas cans.  We have two but wanted to have more.  I went everywhere!  They were all out!  Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot, Kmart, Target, AutoZone, you name it.  Gone.

We ended up ordering 4 from Amazon and overnighted them and my mother-in-law sent us two from Vegas!  We got them this morning!

I'm sure that because I'm new to the area I missed some place that would have them.  Is there anything that you guys haven't been able to get?

I bought two five gallon cans at Home Depot this morning (the one in Harahan). There was a ton of them sitting right out front. You might have gone too early before they got a shipment of hurricane supplies in. They even had a ton of generators left, though it seemed like everyone coming in had one on in their cart.

I was at KMart on Veterans in Metairie and at Home Depot on Carrollton in New Orleans and they both had gas cans.  KMart also had a large supply of large plastic totes to pack stuff in.
