Hey y'all, there's an election today

...and while it isn't quite as glamorous as last year's it does feature 11 state constitutional amendments. If you want to know more, check out the League of Women's Voter Guide, linked here.

It seems like last year there were a bunch of voices that were extremely adamant about women exercising their hard-won right to vote. I'd really love to see those people out at the polls today.

...you're going to have to hate me.  I don't have time today to drive all the way out to Dripping Springs to vote.  It's way out of the way and completely inconvenient to vote since I live just on the other side of the Hays/ Travis line.  Big elections have other stands, but the small ones don't.  When we move into Travis Cty I will be much more active bc I can vote without leaving work.

and some of the propositions may affect your property taxes, so well worth going out to vote, imo!

Im pretty passionate about some of the amendments so Im definitely voting today as soon as Im done in lab.

Also... if you need some help deciphering the language:

Go under the search area and type in Proposition # Texas.  Then click on the 2009 item that comes up.  Tells you both sides of the argument and is great detail on what the ballot wording actually means.
