Oh sweet! Thanks for posting this. We have some LED strands, but my dad gave us a bunch of his Christmas lights last year before he moved. We took them because it certainly beat throwing them out, but this would be even better.
ps. In additon to using less energy, the risk of fire diminishes with LED lights because they don't get hot.
