stila creme bouquet/ perfume help

i've worn that perfume since 6th grade and they discontinued it. instead of purchasing bottles from perfume sites until they run out, i've decided to move on and find another scent that is similar.

the notes are vanilla, pink lilac, and lily of the valley according to sephora. i'm no good at knowing what specific notes i like other than vanilla and i don't like anything too 'perfume-y,' as in a strong alcohol scent.

do you have any suggestions?

i'm obviously going to smell them before i buy something but i've been looking online and here are some that i am interested in:

tocca giulietta

lolita lempicka L

demeter vanilla cake batter

sula vanilla blossom

viktor & rolf flowerbomb

any reviews or recommendations are appreciated!

thank you Smile

Add Kenzo Flower to your list to try out. It has some vanilla in it, but it's more of a very soft, powdery floral. I'm not normally a fan of florals, but I did like Creme Bouquet and I love Flower.

My personal opinions on your list -- LL was too sweet. Demeter fragrances can be too foody and a little too immature for me. Flowerbomb is too flowery for my taste.

Also, if you like vanilla, check out all of the Lavanila scents. I love Vanilla Grapefruit and Vanilla Lavendar. You might like Vanilla Blossom as it's more floral. I just noticed you have Sula VB on your list. I wonder how it compares to Lavanila VB.

thank you so much, krista! that's a huge help. i will definitely keep all of that in mind and try the ones you suggested. like i said, i'm no good at choosing scents, which is why i wore that same one for so many years.

i did see lavanila online and wondered about those. i'm going to sephora to smell them, then put some on my wish list and see what i end up with for my birthday and christmas.

I used to wear Stila creme bouquet in college - I didn't know they discontinued it.  I haven't run across anything else similar.

They have the stila creme bouquet perfume roll on at beautycrunch dot com. I'd recommend the Viktor & Rolf for something new.

I've worn Hanae Mori for the past 8 years. I remember someone telling me once that its top notes are a combination of strawberries and almonds, which when combined give off an atypical vanilla scent. I find it to be more of a skin scent then a perfumey scent if that makes sense? Also men have always loved it, like came up to me waiting in line or in bars and asked what I was wearing.

That being said I'm ready for a change now. Anyone here try Costume National 21 - again it was described as another skin scent. It has 21 notes in it and one of them is milk, which I find kinda interesting.
