AW: We did it! New car at last!!!

As I mentioned last week, my car needs a repair that would basically be the same as a car payment, and to top it off, K's brakes went out on Saturday so we couldn't put it off any longer. This weekend we finally took the plunge and went car shopping.

After a horrible experience with slimy car salesmen at Sunnyvale Toyota, we drove up to Putnam Toyota in Burlingame and had the total opposite. It was seriously the most pleasant car shopping experience I've ever had, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a new car. We knew just what we wanted and they had one car that fit the bill exactly. It was like fate. So as of Saturday evening, K and I are now the proud owners of a 2008 Toyota Prius!!!

We haven't had a chance yet to take pictures of our actual car yet, but it looks just like this:

We've already driven 100 miles, and the fuel gauge is still at full! I am in love.
Can't get enough of Kyveli's smile!

Check out www.priuschat.com for lots of good info, tips and tricks, etc. My favorite find there: how to turn off the annoying beeping it makes when you put it in reverse!

Ha ha, good point! Trucks have the outside beeping, and that makes more sense. I don't know, maybe they figure with the funky gear shift you could put it in R without realizing it. But it drove me crazy, so I turned it right off!
