Best nightlife outside of US?

Hello! My FI and I just got back from Cancun, MX. We have been there 3 times already and we are looking for a new destination. We are looking for somewhere outside the US, with a lot of things to do. We like how Cancun has nightlife, but anywhere with a good downtown, restaurants, etc. would be nice!

when i read your subject line, the first place i thought of was Cancun :)  Though still part of the US, I'd look into San Juan, PR.  Great food, metro city, beach, casinos, clubs, salsa dancing, etc.  love it there!

I'm not sure it's what you're looking for, but the nightlife in Tokyo is amazing and people go really hard. The morning we got up super early to get to the fish market it was us and drunk people stumbling toward the subway at 5:30 a.m.

Iceland. Clubs get going around midnight and people party until 4 or 5am. 

Berlin also has incredible nightlife.

Pretty much any major city in the world! I had some of my greatest nights out in Beijing!

It really depends on what kind of scene, climate, continent you're into.
