Another Audible fan here. It's so worth it to subscribe because the cost of a credit is so much lower than the regular prices you'd find elsewhere. I agree with others that they do have awesome sales for subscribers. They regularly offer freebies, which seem to usually be dramatic short readings, but others are full length popular books. (Water for Elephants, Bossypants and -- my favorite -- Rob Lowe's Stories I Only Tell My Friends were all free at some point in just the last year.) The freebies are for anyone with an account, whether you subscribe or not, but the really good sales are for subscribers only.
