I think it depends on the dog.  My dog is about 70lbs and she will throw up in the middle of the night if she eats a whole stick.  I actually stopped giving them to her because it is the only thing she resource guards... I can't have her puking from them, and she gets really nasty if I try to take it.  I don't think there is any real danger to her eating the entire stick - it's more a matter of if she will tolerate it.

My dog (75 lb.) will eat a whole one of those in a sitting if allowed. For some reason I feel weird about it. I will take it away about halfway and give her the other half the next day.

I feel like it's a stomach ache waiting to happen.

all solid points...she's pretty incredible in regards to allowing us to take whatever it is she is munching on...so no resource guarding.  she hasnt had the enormous one but a decent sized one and was fine.  usually if i know i am going to give her a lot of treats (like at doggy obedience) or shes going to have snacks during the day ill cut her food back a teeny bit to balance out what she is ingesting.  hmmm.  i guess ill see how she does.  but i def dont want any tummy aches.  thanks!

Depends on the dog and the tummy.  My dogs are about the same size and eat 12 inch bullies without a problem.  I've given a 6 lb dog a 12 inch bully, and she would eat about 4 inches at a time without a problem.  my friend's 40 lb dog had an upset tummy with a 6 inch bully.

If you're prepared for possible tummy issues, and your dog has had bully sticks before, I'd probably let her go to town, and just pick it up if/when she walks away from it
