it's really not great beach weather in those areas in January. I mean, it can be, but you aren't guarenteed 85 and sunny. I think you are looking more into the 60s / low 70s. I would do a quick weather.com or google search so you aren't disappointed.
that having said, we've been eyeing up the Ritz in Sarasota for a weekend getaway- looks great.
