Sad bottom

My 3 y.o. spayed, female Chihuahua (the pretty girl below) who is very healthy and eats TOTW is having problems with her lady parts.  For the last week or so she has been obsessively licking it, to the point she's been whining and going in circles. When I look at it, it looks red, but not swollen or smelly or anything--no other symptoms.  The house is clean, and my 2 little male Chis and female kitty are doing fine.  I've decided that she needs to go to the vet, but I'm just looking for a heads up on what this issue might be.  Any thoughts?  Thank you in advance!

depending on what is actually red it could be a UTI or anal gland issues those are the two easiest to treat and common problems. Of course it could be a whole host of other issues. Have you noticed diarrhea or straining to go to the bathroom?

Sounds like anal glands to me. A vet can take care of this issue.

Give her more fiber in her diet -- dogs usually love canned pumpkin (the regular pumpkin, not the pie filling). Keeps stool nice and firm and will probably cut out any future anal gland issues.
