Did you guys read this yet? My MIL just finished it on audiobook and suggested it to me. I'm about 1/4 of the way through on my nook. There are a few things I'm reserving judgement on until I get a bit further (some of the meta text in particular), but it's definitely holding my attention despite christmasy distractions.
Anyway, if possible, without spoilers, can somebody explain to me why this is classified YA? My MIL can't figure it out either (and she's finished the book). All I can see is the reading level is a little low... but the characters I *think* are post-high school age, and the plot is not told very directly. Don't most YAs stick to a single linear plot? Is it just because the author's other books are YA?
