Anyway, I go to Dr. Halasz on Stroop (right across from Town and Country) and he is awesome. I found him after I had a really bad experience with a local dentists and we love him. He is the only dentist and his staff is great-- they have not changed in the seven years I've been seeing him and everyone is so friendly. I highly recommend him. His number is 298-9028 and he's taken every insurance I've ever had!

**Future.Mrs.Shawty**

Do you work in Construction management for a GC locally? Don't know if you remember my old post, but he wants to raise cattle. Blah, blah, blah.

He's surfing thru Craigslist last night, and finds a posting. Big old farmhouse (which I love), acreage on flat land (bonus), barn w/stalls, two smaller homes on the property, one of which already has tenants (we already have 1 rental house, so bonus), and pond.

It's closer to my parents than we are now. Farther away from his, but it's about the same distance between each set of grandparents.

Decent school district. Oh, and less than 2 miles from one of my cousins' family.

And.... drumroll please.... it's a short sale. It would be about the same mortgage payment that we have now. Plus if we got a tenant in each house on the property, we're figuring that would cover about half of the mortgage payment, if not more.

Realtor said the house needs a little TLC, but all cosmetic. It's been empty for about a year, so she said the entire house will need a good cleaning, and maybe some paint & such.
Only downfall (so far) is that it's 30 farther from work for each of us. Which would make DH's commute 90 min. But he only drives it once every 3 days, and he's applying for a job up here. So....

This might be it. We're both actually a little scared. We always casually look, but hadn't planned to move for at least another year.

We'll see. I talked to the realtor, and we're gonna go look at it tonight if DH gets home from work in time. If not, we'll go Sunday afternoon. If we like what we see from the outside, we'll schedule a full tour of the property.

Ornament Exchange......

Could everyone that is doing the exchange put your 'nestie name' and address on Elfster if you have not.

FIL is being a big baby this year about Thanksgiving. FIL and MIL are divorced and FIL usually ditches us (DH is his only child) to go out west to visit his gf or to FL to visit his mother for all the holidays. This works for Christmas bc we do my family Christmas Day night and MIL's for Christmas Eve and we usually exchange presents with FIL a couple weeks after Christmas when he gets back from his trips. This thanksgiving is a different story. This year my bro is coming home (stationed in Ft. Campbell) so I want to see him. My Mom said she'd eat at 4 so we told FIL that we'd be there at 7 since its about an hour drive between the houses. Well he had a fit and said he's not eatting any later than 6 and he planned a meal for 5 and he's expected 5 people to eat. I hate to tell him, but we're only planning on eatting a small meal at each house. We did the "tale of three thanksgivings" a couple years ago and vowed to never do that again. FIL and DH have never had a great realationship and neither one of us really want to even go, but that would just be drama over the top.

How does everyone else handle all the parents on the Holidays?

Opinions Please: DH's Bday Present, to super-surprise him, or not ??

So, DH's 30th Bday is in January, and I've been secretly putting $$ aside for about a year now, with the idea that I wanted to take him on a dive trip for his birthday.

Well, now it's time to get planning. I have enough $$ saved up to pay for the entire trip in cash. And he has no idea! You get the idea.

But I keep second guessing myself and thinking maybe I should just tell him about the trip at his party, then he can pick dates, etc.

Either way, I know he's gonna be thrilled.

But WDYT?

***WHEELBER***

I know you!!!! And I think we saw you at Panera last week! :)

Clicky Poll: Do you buy Christmas gifts for yourself?

Last year I made a stocking for each of us, and surprised DH, but it was all cheap stuff. Undies, socks, pencils, stupid stuff.

Well, last month I found a necklace I love online. It's actually pretty cheap itself, but it's really cute & I love it.
I mentioned it to DH, but he's never been very good at clues. Even really obvious buy-me-this clues.

So... I ordered it for myself. I figured I'd put it under the tree or in my stocking & say it's from Santa.

But now that I saw that it shipped, I feel kinda weird about it. The buying-presents-for-myself thing just feels weird. Almost feel guilty about it.[Please visit the site to access the poll]

Restaurant help!

A friend of mine will be in town in December (she lives in FL with her husband) and they will be here over their one year anniversary. She's asking about places to go to dinner and they're looking to spend around $20 a plate. My mind is blanking right now. I think they would prefer a restaurant in the downtown area...
