Ya the thing that is extra crazy about the amount of banks there are in such a small town is how close they are together. They are seriously all right next to each other, except one that is just about a quarter mile down the road.

I did notice there was one in town when I google mapped DCU this morning. I didn't notice the overwhelming number of banks though, haha. It's kind of like Billerica with fast food, dunkin donuts, and market baskets.

Ah. Yeah, that could happen anywhere.

There are some places people tell you to stay away from, mostly just the online places, but I wanted to check. We're going to go to the branch tomorrow and get a GFE.

Plus if you use them for anything else, there is a branch in town! Oh wait, there are about 50 bank branches in town... lol! (Did you guys notice that? It's like the bank mile)

Ya they're always really nice there. The only problem we have ever had was on the personal banking side, rather than the mortgage side of things. And I don't really know that it was their fault - I think a check just got lost in the mail is all.

I've been looking for reviews online and the only negative one I found as that some person has personal and business accounts with them and therefore has different accounts and pin numbers and they won't let him pick the pin# which he doesn't like. Of course this has nothing to do with the mortgage side.

I've talked with B of A, Sovereign, and DCU this week and DCU were the only people who seemed to a) not treat me like I'm a child that knows nothing about mortgages, and b) care about helping me with my questions.

Our Home Equity is with them. Also, all our banking is with them. DH has been with them for years, and has always loved them. I haven't found them to be over-the-top spectacular like he has, but I haven't had any serious problems with them either.

Anyone have a mortgage with them, or know someone who does? How are they: good, bad? TIA!

(I checked the BBB. They aren't accredited and have a B rating.)
