I had a Hyundai Elantra (one step down from the Sonata), and it was a fantastic car, and so fun to drive. I only traded it in because I am now a big chicken, and didn't feel safe driving a small car on the highway.

One of my coworkers traded in his Hummer for a 2008 Sonata. He LOVES it.

I don't have any experience with the Sonata, but my friend has a Santa Fe and it is awesome. Hyundai I think used to be lower on the totem pole, but they have become one of the better brands in the last few years.

DH's best friend had one for about two years. It was a good dependable car and got pretty good gas mileage. He traded it in because he just doesn't keep cars very long. I was pretty nice on the inside.

Anyone have any experience or thoughts on one? DH is looking at a 2007 but I have no experience with Hyundai so it makes me a little nervous.
