That sounds like a high price even for Merry Maids. We used them once for a deep clean when we moved and it was less than that for a 2800 sq ft house!

I used bidmycleaning.com to find our quarterly deep cleaning service. The service I used charged $200 for 2600 sq ft. They brought everything.

That is what I have paid in the past.

I think my cleaning lady would be interested in doing it for you. I'm not sure which price. Let me know if you want me to ask her. She would use your cleaning supplies rather than bring her own, but services use their own.

I'm not looking for a full time housekeeper, we just want to hire someone to come in and do a onetime DEEP clean of our apt. before the baby comes. I'm the "cleaner" in the family, but physically I can't get down and scrub baseboards or use the cleaning products I want to use this pregnant.

I checked out MerryMaids and their ballpark figure is between 350-425 for something like this. That seems a little high to me, but I have no idea, I've never had a cleaning person before.

What do you guys think? Is that a decent price for a one-time deep clean or is there somewhere else we should look? If so, how much do you think would be reasonable?
