Yeah, there's a trick to it. But mine always end up in a wadded mess as I give up.

I always intend on looking at a new package of sheets, but always forget.

Thanks for this video! DH can do them perfectly, but watching him I never knew what he did and he won't show me (which works nicely because I just make him do it). Now I can do it if he is out of town and not let them just sit in a pile around the house till he gets home.

I used to take the time when I was very proud that my linen closet would pass a Martha Stewart inspection. I had to lay the sheet out on the bed to connect the corners just right.

But being that anal retentive drove my s.o. at the time away. I decided to let go and just be an easier person with whom to live. I now do a half-ass connect-the-corner fold and sort of wad everything else up inside, put it in the closet, and shut the door.

My DH and I don't care about wrinkled sheets beneath our tushes, and our guests can be happy that they have a clean guest-only space in which to sleep. If that means the sheet under their tushes is wrinkled, well so be it - they have high thread count sheets and should take what they can get!

The video - yep, that's how my mom taught me to do it, when I was 7 or 8yrs old :) So it's always seemed pretty easy to me, I guess I thought everyone did it that way!

Yeah all you do is meet the 4 corners and cup/tuck under then bring the sides around to make the square previous poster said and fold it from there. It folds pretty good doing it that way!!

I try to get them right, then usually just give up, wad them in a ball and shove them in the closet so I dont have to deal with it anymore lol.

Yep, that video is exactly how I do it, except I'm not as careful (or anal) as that guy so mine aren't usually that neat.

I was just thinking the same thing as I folded Elena's sheets today!

For my king=sized bed, I have a great trick: I only wash the old sheets when its time to change the ones on the bed. that way they are nice and fresh and no worries about folding fitted sheets!

My ex taught me how to do it, I do it the same way as the video. Before him, I never knew either. I just showed the video to DH and he said he doesn't do them that way. I think I need to make him do laundry more often.

My g-ma taught me a long time ago, and somehow it just stuck. So, I amaze my DH and friends. ;-) I just watched the video - and that is exactly how I do it. Just gather all the seams together, and square off as much as possible, then fold as you desire (I sometimes do thirds instead of halves).

DH can actually fold a fitted sheet into a nice neat square. It's really amazing. I know there's a trick to it, but I can't seem to get it.

I agree. There is not good or easy way to do it.
