This may mark daycare success. She pooped on the potty at school today and asked to go!!!

And the daycare teacher I sensed the most attitute from asked me "How did you get her potty trained so quickly?!?"

Thank you very much. I am not crazy and forcing her and you to use the potty. She was ready. Hooray!!!

How do you all handle liars?

I'm just curious as I've been kind of at a loss - I was raised in the "honesty is the best policy" and I'm always thrown off by people who just lie on a daily basis.

I think everyone has told a little white lie here or there (to spare someone's feelings or because you're expecting and not ready to tell or whatever) but how do you handle people who just lie about anything/everything?

Do you confront them about their lies? Give them a big side eye and move about your business? Sit them down and try to have a teachable moment about why lying is bad?

Small Background - my MIL lies about everything and anything. We stopped over last night (it had to be last night as we are leaving for Baltimore to visit my family today) to pick up apple dumplings to give to my family. We get there - she gives us 2 (for everyone). We asked her where the rest were, she claims we only told her to make 2. (WTF? Why would I only want to bring 2 for my family of 8). She also insisted we not come over until after 7:30 as she would be out to dinner. We come over at 7:30, she's in her pajamas. We asked if she went to dinner and she said no, she went to dinner last night. Except that you called dh that day and told him this. I was just dumbfounded - these aren't even important things to lie about!!

And so it begins...so scary!

Parker's face is really dry today, so I put him on the recliner (like I always do) and I turned to pump a little Eucerin that was on the side table (it's literally 4 ft. away and takes me one step/pivot). When I turned around to put the Eucerin on his face I hear *BOOM* and see Parker laying on the floor in front of the recliner screaming his head off! OMG...I was so scared! He fell off the recliner head first and turned a little (thank God) so he landed partially on his side/side of his head.

I guess the days of leaving him where I put him (even for a milisecond) are over. Things were so different two days ago...

Please tell me your kids have fallen on their heads and been ok. I'm secretly freaking out.

Recommend your baby monitor....we have a video monitor now and it's great for inside the house but as soon as I leave the house, we don't get a good signal (the nursery is on the 2nd floor and we were sitting outside our basement and the signal was lost so I don't know if it's the vertical distance or it's the monitor).

Don't flame me for this, but if it's spring/summer outside and she's napping and I want to plant flowers or do something around the house or sit on our lower deck, I'd like to be able to get a better signal (doesn't need to be video, just the sound would do)...

Help me find a new hairdo

I need help finding a new hairstyle. Right now I have long hair and I want a shorter cut. The problem is my face is full and round and not all short hairstyles look good on me. Plus I have really thick hair which makes it harder with cuts. Anybody have any pics or suggestions for a short hairstyle? I can't seem to find anything!
