WOW i just met the First Lady Gibbons and im wearing my Piggly Wiggly t-shirt.

Why oh Why couldnt she come in Mon-Thurs. where im wearing a nice business outfit? But it was funny she saw me and asked where i got my shirt cuz they dont have piggly wigglys out here.

I am totally embarrassed

Anyone know of a good dry cleaner in the Henderson/GV area? H has a few sweaters that are dry clean only but I'm afraid to just pick a place and pray for the best. haha

I've come over from The Knot to see what's going on here. I met my FI in Vegas 2 years ago and we will be moving back there after we get married in Orlando.

I'm glad you guys do GTGs, I love meeting new people and am really looking forward to getting to Vegas, meeting people and exploring the city.

Where: Cracked Egg on 215 and Rainbow. Exit the 215 off of Rainbow and head AWAY from the Best Buy/WalMart shopping center. The first shopping center on your left with Starbucks and PortaSubs is Cracked Egg's lot.

Random Question re: photography studios

DH and I wanted to get our picture taken for our Christmas cards, but we also want to have our dog in the photo. We really don't want to spend much at all so we were thinking about just going to JC Penneys or Target or one of those places. Does anyone know of a studio where you can bring your dog for photos that doesn't cost an arm and a leg?

We are heading down to Vegas (from Seattle) on Friday. Weather.com says 60 and sunny (which is tank top weather up here!). So, what are you and your kids wearing (my twins are almost 2)? Shorts, jeans, tees, sweatshirts, dare I get my hopes up and pack swimsuits?

I am currently living in MN. My hubby and I are making the decision if we should move to Vegas- henderson area. We have a 11 month old, so I have decided to stay home and do daycare out of my house. But before we make the big step in moving to Vegas, I was wondering if you can tell me if in-home daycares are needed there. I am sure they are, but I am not sure what kind of competition I am up against. I do have lots of experience in childcare, but want to run it out of my home. If you send your kids to in-home daycare and wouldn't mind sharing the rates that you pay or any other helpful info. I would really appreciate it.

I got my hair cut this week, had a picture that I showed her and everything, and it didn't come out so well. So, now I need some damage control! I'm in Summerlin, so if it's in this area, even better. If not, I will drive for a good hair cut!

moving to Vegas

My husband and I, along with our 11 month old are possibly thinking about moving to Vegas. We currently live in MN right now and are tired of all the cold weather. I have only been to Vegas 3 times and all those times we stayed on the strip. I know there is life outside of the strip. We would be moving Henderson (?) area. I have heard many people say its not a place to raise kids and its high crime there. I am nervous about moving somewhere I haven't really been too. But also excited at the same time as we might really like it there. Please share your thoughts about living there and the pros and cons.

My husband, in-laws and I are going to be in Vegas for the Nascar races at the end of Feb. The rest of my group is going to be doing the race thing all weekend. I can only handle so much racing so I will only be going to the big race on Sun. We will be there Thur. night through Mon. morning and I'm going to have a lot of free time. We are staying at the Silverton.

I am hoping it's warm enough to spend some time by the pool, and obviously I'll do some gambling. Any ideas of fun stuff to do by myself in that area? I could travel further, it will just be more convenient if it's close to the Silverton. Any good spas in the area? Any other ideas? I'm pretty open.

Congrats to all of you that are TTC! I have to admit though it seems like everyone but me is trying for a baby, pregnant, or has a child under 2. DH and I are no where near trying yet, but I desperately want to have one! There are just two or three obstacles right now that I wish weren't there. Bleh!

I'm still really happy for all of you though!
