So, we're selling some stuff on CL. One of the things we're selling is this pet water fountain thing (where the water is filtered & comes down in a free falling stream). We're asking $25 for it, but are including 7 new filters with it.

I get an email asking if we'd take $20 and could she pick it up today when shes in the area...I wrote back and said sure, and that she could pick it up at Matt's office (I don't want anyone over here when I'm home alone with the kiddo).

This is her response:

Wonderful! I recently adopted two smaller purebred dogs where one was used as a stud in a puppy mill and the only life he knew was a kennel but now he's in the 'lap of luxury.' The second dog I just adopted from a lady who's medical condition is deteriorating and he needed a new home. Both dogs are so very welcome cuz I have a 6 year old son and we lost his Daddy last year unexpectedly at the age of 31. It really helps my son heal to be able to give his huge heart to these dogs. So thank you for helping me also with this fountain. The dogs will LOvE it! I am thinking it will be between 3 pm and 5pm. That's about the best I can say for now. I can call before I get there so if I can get an address and number that would be great! Thanks again!

I was kind of taken aback by the lengthy & detailed response, and I'm really leaning towards meeting her in a mall parking lot or something instead. What say you, wise WI nesties?

Oh, and we wouldn't let her come to our place anyway - we'd meet her at the clubhouse & she'd never know our actual address or anything...I'm not *that* dumb =)

I'm using Scrapblog to make our Christmas cards this year - I figure I can print them & order envelopes for about 1/3 the cost of custom made photo cards through any number of websites. That makes for a happy husband, see.

However, I'm really struggling with which photo to use - I don't know if I should use one of the three of us, or just one of the little guy.

So, if you got my card in the mail, which would you rather see? All three of us, or just Ben? Or C - none of the above?

Can anyone rec an ENT dr. at 1 S. Park or AFCH? The dr's our pedi recommended are:

Green, Siske, Anderson, Cooper (1 S. Park)

and

Siske, Heatley, McMurray (AFCH)

Also, please share your tube stories...I know very little about this and curious what the procedure is like, recovery, all that stuff. Thanks!

So my bff just had her 2nd baby 2 weeks ago, has a 2 y/o & is in the middle of a divorce...for real, BIG mess, I can't even elaborate how bad.

Anyway, she lives in Mke (my hometown) & since I don't live there anymore & can't bring her food I was hoping to buy some groceries online & have them delivered to her house. She lives in Brookfield....around Bluemound...

Anyone have any recommendations as to where I could do this through?

Hi!

We will know about our offer on our house tomorrow! We will be moving to Muskego, WI. About 40min SW of downtown. We are buying a farmette, aka, old farm house on 7+ acres. We will be opening a photography studio!

If you want to stay closer to downtown but pay better prices on houses I would check out St. Francis, Bay View and South Milwaukee. They are really up-and-coming neighborhoods, close to the lake, easy access to downtown on Hwy 794. Our current house is in So. Milwaukee, we live 4 blocks off the lake and it only takes me 20min from my front door to the heart of downtown! I will have to let you know if we get to put our house on the market! It is too cute, I know I will be sad to leave it!

Keeping my hopes up for tomorrow!

My DH currently works in Milwaukee and I work/live in upper MI. We are looking to move to the area in early summer. We want to live North of Milwaukee and I was wondering what areas are nice? I am a special edu teacher so what schools are good? Are teaching jobs hard to find?? Any information would be very helpful. Also what is the going rate for daycare??

I'm posting this here just incase one of you are in Bugsy path. Bugsy was recently adopted from GRRoW and escaped from her new owners front door. Here is some info that may help you if you happen to see her

She does like treats if you throw some kind of good smelling jerky/beefy pasty substance near her. She will run to it if you are far enough away, then she will eventually come to you if you keep doing it, maybe. If someone sees her, sitting down and talking softly to her may get her to come to them. She does like other dogs, but only timid ones.

Her owner lives in Mequon and Bugsy was last seen in Cedarburg heading north. If you see her and/or can catch her please contact GRRoW at 888-655-4753.

I just saw your post on ML about Maya....sorry to hear she has to have surgery, but hopefully when it's over she will feel MUCH better! My nephew had the adnoid (or whatever they heck it is) surgery as well and they noticed a HUGE difference (for the better) afterwards and were so happy they did it.

Did you go to the holiday Bazaar? Fun? Good stuff?

DH and I got in a huge fight and tonight is our first baby prep class at the hospital. I feel like we should be so happy and excited to have the class and be so close to meeting the baby, but all I can think about is how we've been fighting all day and how unhappy we are with each other right now. I wish I could reschedule but the next class in the week before my due date. Ugh. I hate fighting.

I have been reading a lot about the benefit of chiropractic care for infants and really think that Addy would benefit from a little adjustment, but i don't want to just pick one from the phone book. If anyone has one they use and would recommend I would love a name and number. Thanks
