I can't help it... every time I miss my period (even by a day) I'm hoping I'm pregnant. We're not even actively trying!! It's so silly, but it's literally all I can think about these days. Anyone else in the same boat?

Yay! I'm glad there was a such a strong response for the GTG.

Since most of our normal schedules get thrown off a bit with holidays, instead of asking what day of the week works best for everyone, I am throwing out 5 different potential dates. I'm guessing we will probably do this somewhere downtown around 6pm - but we can finalize that once we have the day/attendance.

Please respond with the date(s) you would prefer. The date where most people can come will be the winner.

Got this forwarded from a friend and wanted to post, if there is any interest:

Dairyland Greyhound Racetrack in Kenosha, Wisconsin will be closing on December 31, 2009.

900 Greyhounds will need to be adopted otherwise they will be euthanized, now is a great time to consider adopting a Greyhound. They are very loving and laid back. They don't need the space people think they need. They are great for an active family because they have been crated almost all their lives and they sleep about 18 out of the 24 hours a day. They are just looking for someone to love them and supply them with a warm bed!!!!

They test the dogs to see if they are cat friendly and or small dog friendly. They also know if a dog should be a single dog or if they would be great in a 2, 3, or 4 dog house!!!

Please help me get the word out; we only have 6 weeks to get this task done!!

Hi everyone!

I just made the switch over and i'm super excited to see how active people are on here! It's been kind of hard finding fun couples to hang out with since our group of friends are either single, breaking up, or moving away! The couple we have been really close with broke off their engagement last week :-( so no more couples trivia nights! Is anyone on here interested in trivia or just plain old game nights? My hubby and I love that kind of stuff!

Flights

Are flights just high right now? I am trying to book two separate flights from Chicago to Portland and from Chicago to Las Vegas and they are high (350 to 400 ). The last time I went to Vegas a month ago it was $230. Will flights go down after the holidays?

Who has done this? I'm thinking about doing it, but wanted to ask how the experience went. Even more though, I'm curious as to how much you spent (since that will most likely be the determining factor for me... I guess right now I'm more of "daydreaming" of doing it. lol).

I know a few of you got a super promotional deal. For those who didn't, how much did you spend (if you don't mind sharing)?

Do you think it was worth the cost?

Are you happy with the pictures?

Did you actually "trash" your dress, or was it not too severe?

Also, what was your main reason for doing it? (Ex: Were you unhappy with your regular pictures? Did you just want unusual or more pics of you in the dress?)

DH and I are considering moving from our current neighborhood (the south loop) to Ravenswood this upcoming spring. There are several reasons for the move - we want a bigger place for a better value, would like an easier commute to work and we're hoping to find a good city neighborhood to start a family.

Anyone have any recommendations on the best areas to look and/or any restaurants/shops that you like? Are there other neighborhoods we should consider? DH works in Niles, but we want to stay in the city. We wouldn't live in Lakeview, Lincoln Park, Bucktown, Wicker Park.
