PCP recommendations - not Vandy

It's been a little while since one of these have popped up, but open enrollment is upon me. Bleh.

Does anyone have any recommendations for PCP's that are NOT affiliated with the Vandy Medical Group (i.e. not part of VMG network, admitting privileges is OK, provided they can admit elsewhere as well)

I have officially had it with Vandy Med Group bureaucracy.

Relocating to Memphis Area-Need Advice

We just found out the DH got a job in Memphis and we need to start the housing search ASAP. What are some nice areas to check out for housing...we will be renting in the beginning and would REALLY like to find a house. If it makes a diff...we'd like to keep rent between $800-1000/mo. It can be the city of Memphis or a sub. TIA!

Hermitage: Doctors and Dentists?

Hey ladies!

I saw someone mention their dentist appt. in Hermitage and thought maybe you could recommend some dentists and Primary Care doctors?

So far, I can only really recommend (in the area) Summit Hospital, Franklin Altman Eye Clinic and Tennessee Sports Medicine in Mt. Juliet, but I'm hoping to find a PCP and dentist soon.

Hotel/area and restaurant recs: Memphis

Hi ladies, MH and I are thinking of taking a quick weekend down to Memphis for our 5yr anniversary.

I haven't been in years, so I really don't know the area of town and things to do anymore. I'm looking at hotels in the city and the areas mean nothing to me :/

We plan on staying in a hotels like the Marriott, Hilton, etc. What are your thoughts on areas like Germantown, east Memphis, Southhaven, Olive Branch, west Memphis and Wolfchase?

In general are there any areas I should avoid, or areas that you recommend that we should stay in?

Also, what are some local (non-chain) restaurants that you like? I love to support local businesses when I visit, so please post your favorite restaurants and shops to visit :)

I tried putting pictures in my bio as well, and it says to check the url, which I did but they are still not showing up. That is rather confusing anyway, i'm used to just good ol browse and upload!

A while (years...) ago, when we were just dating, my husband cheated on me with some random girl (kissing, touching, no sex). This was way out of character for him and we were still pretty young (not that I am making excuses!) Anyway, we have since gotten married. I have forgiven him for the "incident", but not forgotton. Anyway, I am still very sensitive about the whole thing. This week he is out of town for a work trip. He called me last night to tell me that his coworkers and he went to a strip club. He said he felt really guilty about being there and left after 1 beer. He called me because he felt guilty. I am glad he called me, but I can't help but be angry. I don't have a major thing against strip clubs, but it bothers me that HE went. I guess I am just angry because I wish he would have not gone at all, out of respect for me. Am I just being overly sensitive here or would you be mad too?

Looking for New Mom for TV Pilot

Tom Forrest and Taillight TV are developing a new TV series based around mothers that need to lose the baby fat after they have given birth and need help getting their lives back in shape! Think Lifetime's DietTribe meets Real Housewives of Nashville. The series will be hosted by La Reine Chabut who has written the national best seller "Lose That Baby Fat." I am looking for mothers that can be part of the teaser. The moms should have given birth within the last 8 months and still need to lose the weight they gained from their pregnancy. It does not matter if this is their 1st pregnancy or their 5th! We will shoot on November 4th in Nashville. The shoot will take a couple of hours with La Reine.
