Yeah, I hate looking on CL. A few weeks ago I saw an ad from somebody getting rid of their Akita because they didn't have time for him. The next day the same people posted an ad looking to buy or trade a dining table set for a small house dog. I knew they were the same people because they had the same photo in their ad! Crazy. :(

Wow, you are right, so ridiculous & sad that people look at their pets as if they were disposable!!!

My dog and cat are my best friends!!! I couldn't have gotten thru this divorce without them!

It is a horribly sad reality. I always hope those animals get a good home.

I had this horrible woman euthanize her dog this week because she had to move and her new place wouldn't let her have large dogs. I offered her a handful of rescues to try, she declined all my offers. She said it was more humane to euth, than to send it to a rescue. She asked me if people do this often and I told her "no, not really". She proceded to tell me that I was a horrible person for making her feel quilty. All I really wanted to do was tell her to shove it.

I know! When we went on a vacation for 2 days in LA, I had to leave Lola with my parents. I cried when I left her, I missed her so much...

I wish I could take them so I know they have a good home.
