I don't really care if I get the money or not. I don't spend it in the way that the government hopes it's spent; I just put mine into savings. I think they want it to be spent immediately. Yeah, that's a really great idea. There' s a huge problem with spending more than what you have, so let's advocate frivolous spending.

I also frown at government taking away from a private industry based on its subjective view of what "excessive profits" are.

I love Obama, but am I a working family? Do non-working families not need the money? If DH and I file separately do we each get a grand? I am not a big fan of stimulus checks...but I wont turn down the cash.

The Democrats in Congress are pushing a second round of stimulus checks. They've been talking about it for a coule of months now. However, it doesn't seem to be getting very much media attention. Here's an article about it:

I dont' think anything is official yet, but seems to me that a 2nd check would be issued as a way to "buy votes" in November.

It was very brief. They are still talking about it Nancy Pelosi was on the View last week talking about it. I missed everything but the last 2 seconds of it.

What is this all about? I will admit I was not a fan of the first one but, we did need the money and it went to good use. I am afraid to ask where the second round of money is going to becoming from and how much are we suppose to get.
