Same here! I never wear them casually...I can't pull it off for some reason.

When I lived in CA I got in the habit of saying "tennis shoes" but now it's just sneakers.

for working out: sneakers

To be honest, I only wear sneaker-type shoes at the gym. However, if I did wear them outside of the gym, I'd still call them sneakers.

well, it depends on what im doing, either my running shoes or my spin shoes. but to answer the question i think you're actually asking, i call them sneakers.

Tennis shoes, but with my accent, it sounds more like "Tennashoes". I do NOT pronounce the S.

And my Pumas, I call Pumas. I brown ones, that are like Payless brand, and I call them my "brown shoes". Haha... I don't own a lot of shoes!

running shoes, usually, since that's mostly what I use them for, but occasionally I call them tennis shoes. I hate the word sneakers.

Always sneakers - no matter whether I wear them to the gym, running, or just out.

sneakers...whether they're for the gym or walking around, they're called the same.
