They had read the book the semester before and liked the film.&amp;nbsp; I think the plot captures the feeling that was (and in some cases still is) going around in middle class America in the 50's.&amp;nbsp; Disillusionment is a powerful emotion at times and usually isn't a happy one either.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Plus, Sam Mendes lives near me, so I gotta see it for local support.
