Hi Ladies,

After I read the responses to my post on Thursday and talked with DH, instead of coming off BCP after the final pack I'm on, I decided to come off of it that very evening (I was to finish it on 12/29). I even started taking the prenatal vitamins and folic acid, too. I signed up for Fertility Friend (forgot where I saw that posted here) and bought "Taking Charge of Your Fertility". It's a start in educating myself on this path and knowing my body better.

So, now that I've taken the leap, what else do I need to know (besides charting)? Any helpful advice is always much appreciated!

Last night after dinner DH told me that he would do the dishes since I had a work event to go to. I swooned at the mere mention of not having to them! When I came home from my event and they weren't done I said I was going to do them and DH insisted that I not- he was going to do them for me. This morning after breakfast when they still weren't done (from last night) and I went to do them he again stopped me. After lunch I decided to tackle that huge pile that has taken over both sides of the sink and the counter but my sweet dear DH stopped me again and reminded me that he wanted to do them for me.

It has now been 24 hours. I'm not touching them.

Does this mean my body isn't producing progesterone? Could this be a problem in TTC that my body is too "cool" to sustain implantation?

Getting pregnant with PCOS a plan

So I went to see my gyn yesterday for yearly checkup. We talked about getting pregnant, he said I have PCOS, which I was sorta thought I had but he confirmed it. He siad he has a lot of luck by doing surgery right before trying to get pregnant and then start clomid and I can start that way.

He siad in surgery he would clean everything up make sure everything was all good. I also have bad endometriosis which was cleaned up at a few surgeries but I still have pain.

Does this sound like a good plan? We werent thinking of trying till next fall of course but he brought it up knowing my history. I am thinking of getting my Mirena taken out as its causing me a lot of bacterial vaginosis and bad PMS.....but most birth control pills cause me problems so I may just have to endure heavy periods, yikes.

Im not sure who made the post about the 50 free photo cards but I got mine today and they came out great! I didn't ever think I'd get them, thought it was a bunch of crap but there here! DH said what the hell is that, you're not sending those out. Little does he know they are so going out! I must have misunderstood, I thought he said "they look great, you have to send those to everyone".

This is only cycle 1 of really TTC and I think Im already wearing him out!

Im apparently ovulating late this cycle (today is CD 20 and still no O) so we have been at this since CD12.

Today he said "Im only one man!" lol!

It just started and its brown. I am pretty sure its AF making her appearance, but you never know..It might be implantation spotting! (Ya right). The next couple temps will tell. I'm afraid to test because its been many negatives in a row so I am going to see if my temp rises but I seriously doubt it. My boobs have been killing me but that always happens around AF. So happy that this cycle is coming to an end. Until tomorrow!...or the next day.

I knew something was up when I went to bed last night... I've just had too many days of this nasty spotting, so when I woke up this morning there she was! My temp is still up, but when she's around they usually are wacky! So on the bright side - Im almost bronze!!! I can feel the tan coming! Onto a new cycle and a new tan!

BFP!! omg...how long have i waited to type those 3 letters!!!

thank you ladies so much for all the support! i don't know how to thank you! i love you ladies!!

edit::i always appreciated when BFP'ers added symptoms, things they did different, etc. so i'll do the same.
we didn't chart this cycle, but i did use OPK's. i had a +OPK two days in a row and we BD'd both of those days, plus a couple days before and once like 2 days after.
my nipples have been crazy sore the past week or so and it hurts for my bra to even rub against them. also, i've had (sorry if TMI) diarrhea the past 2 days, which i've heard can be a symptom?? other than that, i've not really felt any different. a little mild cramping, but nothing bad and not like my usual AF cramping...

To follow up on 2beemrsg's BFP post..I wanted to posted what I did differently and my symptoms before my BFP yesterday (cycle #5). I always loved reading these..especially when I was overanalyzing during my TWW.

I used the CBEFM which helped figure out which days to focus BD'ing on, I took vitex (to bring on O since last cycle I didnt' O till CD47); took Mucinex, and made sure to O after DH to get the spermies on their way up there.

TWW symptoms - boobs felt very tender and just seemed bigger. They are usually tender post O, so I tried not to think much about it. And I felt slight (I mean very slight) cramping on my right side just above the pubic bone. I thought I was making it all up in my head since it was so slight.

Hopefully you all will get your BFP's very soon!

My sister suckered me into going to a 30th birthday party for our cousin tonight. I had no intentions of going b/c lets face it at 35 wks pregnant the last thing I wanna do is get dressed up, going to a bar downtown, and watch people drink till all hours of the night. I'd much rather put on my sweats and curl up on the couch with DH watching a movie.

But our little sister backed out of going b/c she has a test on Monday that she couldnt get out of so now she is not coming home until Mon night. And my older sister's FI backed out of going too b/c he is gonna help at this resturant tonight (he will make $200 for a few hrs of work). My sister is not a big going out kinda person and she doesnt really socialize with our cousins the way my younger sister and I do. So I was like ugh fine I'll go. Luckily it starts at 8 and my sister doesnt want to stay very long so we are gonna go around 830 and leave by like 10.

I just went through about a weeks worth of posts! Congrats to all the BFP's. I've been swamped at work and unable to nest. Damn work. DH is at work so I can catch up with everything.

I got a + OPK finally on CD 32...so lets hope I am now on DPO 2 or 3. Phantom symptoms are probably on their way! Who else is in their 2WW??

P!!! OMG! I am SO thrilled!! It is only 10DPO and my temp rose this morning so I figured I'd test..why not. I am used to seeing BFNs so I was actually expecting it. I am still in shock and was shaking for a good 20 min afterwards.

I had bought a buffalo bills baby outfit since my DH is a huge Bills fan. As he was getting out of bed, I told him I had a present and handed him the onsie and the pregnancy stick. He was thrilled!!

And the only person I am going to tell that I am PG is my mom. I am going to get a Thanksgiving card that says Happy Thanksgiving Grandma and give it to her in person next week when I see her.

So, I guess cycle #5 was my lucky cycle!!!! Now...stick baby stick!!! Baby dust to all of you!! I know you will all get your BFP's soon!!!

18DPO and....

I finally tested. BFPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, I really held out! My longest LP was 17 days, so I kept holding out. Still hard to believe, but I'm excited. I haven't told DH yet, but we've been joking that I'm PG for the past few days. The 2nd line appeared before i even had a chance to cap it.

Symptoms/Signs: i had a very dull headache from 7-12DPO. I had mild cramping on and off like AF was about to show, but the cramps never lasted longer than a 5 minute span. My boobs have been extremely sore since 12DPO and have stayed sore/swollen. Even though my temps started decreasing, they stayed about the average range.

My Chart - was taking Evening Primrose Oil to help increase EWCM, but I never really noticed a big difference n the amount of EWCM I had.

BFN this morning, temp. drop but still above coverline...

Ugh, this stinks. I was really hoping for an early BFP. Today is 11dpo. Been having cramping as to what could or could not be AF cramps, but the big temp. drop this morning isn't leaving me with tons of hope.

I honestly don't mind it when women who are pregnant complain about being pregnant. As much as I would like to be pregnant it doesn't bother me because I imagine there are plenty of things that happen to your body while hauling a bowling ball in your uterus that are unpleasant. If they need to vent some of their frustrations every now and then, I really don't mind listening. That being sad-

My sister in law who is wicked is pregnant (first month off of bc of course) with her 4th child. Every single day she complains on her facebook status about being pregnant. Multiple times a day! She never has anything positive to say, it is always pregnancy complaints. Does she really want to look back on her pregnany and only see these negative things?

I'm so sick of it. She isn't due until June so she has a looooong ways to go.

weird periods

I've had the most upsetting time with my period over the last couple of months. I went off of my birth control pills in February. Since then, I have had 2 periods, both of which were induced by progesteron. I've had a really hard time with my struggle to get regulated...I've really worried about my ability to get pregnant.

After doing some research, I started taking prenatal vitamins on Sunday.

I just started my period today. I don't want to get excited...is this due to the prenatal vitamins, or is it my body working itself out?
