Well a "guilt" trip that is. My family has NO sympathy for the fact that my bank account was drained AND my car seems to be acting up and so I can't drive 400 miles to come and see them.
Then I asked my mom if she wanted to fly up next weekend (our treat) and she said, "Noooooooooooooooo...I don't think so" but then proceeds to tell me she misses Nolan so much that she has been crying all day. Um, what?!?!?
And I can't really leave tonight to go anywhere because Tanner is about to have a meltdown with the fireworks and they are barely getting started.
On a postive note, DH and I are in organize/remodel mode and have rearranged the living room, and bought a new bookcase and some shelving to declutter!
Dang, I was so happy when I read the post title. Sorry your family isn't being very nice. Glad you've gotten some things done with the house though. Happy 4th!
ugh - I hate that! she misses him soooo much - but won't fly up for FREE next weekend to see him. sounds like someone is playign the martyr role and I'm sorry (hugs)
but I love how productive unexpected free weekends end up being - enjoy!
