Both of these causes are causes I support, and for me they are link in a way. When I was in elementary school a girl from our church, and her family had the opportunity to benefit from the Make-A-Wish Foundation and take one last trip as a family. Sadly, only one day after her return she slipped into a coma and passed away, yet the family was given a wonderful gift. As time went on I became close with the family's Mother who has been an inspiration and mentor. A few years ago I participated with a group of high school students as a mentor for a show that raised enough maney to grant 3 family wishes! What a feeling-I definately encourage everyone to get involved.
Because my young friend passed away from cancer, and I have an aunt who is a survivor of cancer I am participating in the Relay for Life this year in Phoenixville, PA. Cancer touches so many people we know. Let's fight to stomp out this disease!
