Double Stroller search sucks!

I know everyone has their opinions about things but why can't I just find the "perfect" double stroller.  GRR!!  I loved the Phil and Ted until I saw this weekend now I freaking hate it.  Ugh!

The bottome part where DS would sit had a bar that hit right at the top of his head.  So it hits his head now and when he gets taller his head will rest on the bar, not comfortable at all.  And the way you can put the newborn under the seat of the toddler is sort of scary and it gets hot in there for the baby.

I agree - the search to find one did suck.  I don't think there was one I didn't try!

I've already sold my Peg Perego Aria Twin before I even used it. I was afraid with the being side by side Sarah would mess with the baby too much.

I also tried the Phil and Ted, and Sarah hated it!!

I ended up with this one http://www.rightstart.com/global/store/product~item~9549~dept~strollers~cat~double+strollers.html  I like it because you can snap the car seat into the stroller and the back seat also becomes a platform for Sarah to stand on when she's not into the stroller anymore.

Sarah born at 33 weeks. Jacob born at 35w 3d.

Ugh, I feel you.  I remember that search.  And I felt the same way about the Phil & Ted, as well as that one that the older kid can stand on the back...can't remember what brand.  If the older kid is sitting instead of standing, he'd have to lean forward to fit correctly.

The hardest thing for me was to find something that I could put the infant seat in, and still have good room for Sam.  We finally ended up getting a side-by-side by Combi.  It's narrow enough to fit through doorways, and it maneuvers pretty well, considering.  Plus, the Graco infant seat fit in there pretty well (even though it's not designed to fit), with plenty of room for Sam in the next seat. The only thing we had to do is if we were going to be on an uneven surface, we used a luggage strap to strap the infant seat in, to make sure it didn't slip.  But on regular smooth surfaces, it was fine.

Now that I read it, it sounds so trashy, with the luggage strap!  But it worked for us, because it met all of our qualifications otherwise, and we didn't have to use the strap very often.
