NCR: Recommend your razor

I currently use Schick Intuition, and I like it a lot - but I still have to shave every day.  Since they are expensive, I'd like to consider switching to something else... Any rec's?

I'm still using the original Venus (*Gasp* I think I only have 4 blades!) and I lurve it. To Death.

I shave 2x/week, generally. Unless I'm wearing something that people will be looking at my gams. Stick out tongue

I love my Venus Vibrance. I don't buy the Vibrance razor blades---just the regular Venus ones.

i think shaving frequency has more to do with YOUR personal hair growth, and less to do with your razor.

i have the Intuition, too, but I love it.

Oh, I agree, Lady C - my point is just that since I have to do it every ANYWAY, I might as well pay less. :)

oooh.   i understand.

the way I see it, though, is that with the Intuition I'm not paying for shaving cream.    and its not THAT much more expensive than the other high quality razors.   so i figure it all equals out.

I use Venus also! I used the Intuition for awhile but the blades didn't last long for me at all!

I will admit it, I buy the cheap disposable razors.

I bought the cheap disposables for years...but at some point I actually calculated that it was more cost-effective to buy blades for my Venus than it was to continually buy disposables.

It may not be now, but now I'm too lazy to calculate. Ha!

DH's Gillette Fusion.

About a year ago I ran out of razors and used DH's in a pinch. Seriously girls, SO.MUCH.BETTER. than any female razor I've used. I've never gone back - we share now :)

I have always used the Gillette Daisy razor.  The basic one, not the fancy one.  I have tried other fancy ones and the ones where you change the blade and I have always gone back to the Daisy.  I don't use shaving cream either.  Just soap and I almost never cut myself.

I've been using the Gilette Mach razors for years and years.  Yes I know they're for boys, but they make my legs SO silky!

in high school i used the mach whatever number they were on, and i used edge gel, simply because i went to boarding school, my mom setup an account with the local drugstore, and that's all they had! but it worked well.

but if you do go for the reg razors w/ shaving cream... i have to let you know that Aveeno shaving cream is the BEST i've ever used. it smells like oatmeal cookies!!! and it feels so good.

mmm, blog

I also use my hubby's brand- I think it is a mach 3?, the blades are pricey, but they last and don't give me razor burn

Schick Quattro is hands-down the best razor I've ever used... it's totally worth a few more bucks.  I don't even buy shaving cream... I used my hair conditioner... one less bottle in the bathroom.

I use my hubby's razor and I love, love, love it!!! It's the Gillette Fusion (the original one w/o the batteries). I used it when I was out of blades for my Venus and I've never gone back. I use it WAY more than he does anyway. :)
