My dad is visiting and he is a big time meat & potatoes guy. He requested we go to a steakhouse. I was thinking Lawry's because he's a huge prime rib fan but the menu is pretty lacking for someone like my SM who'd prefer not to eat prime rib.
I've never been to Chicago Chop House or Gibson's. Would you recommend either? We've been to Morton's, Weber Grill, Wildfire and all have been pretty good from what I remember. We don't go to steakhouses all that often I guess :)
When we visit Chicago we like to go to Smith and Wollensky. It is sooo good and right on the river so, you can have a good view too.
Morton's and Wildfire are also yummy but not as good in my opinion.
The last time I was in town we visited David Burke and it was excellent. Gibson's is also a fav, the Chicago cut, bone-in ribeye is memorable. My dad loves Lawrys and I don't think you can go wrong with that choice either.
