My feet have grown in the last year, which I didn't think was possible at my age. Now I teeter between 9.5 and 10. I'll be wearing clown shoes soon at this rate.

As someone who has a 10, I'm thinking 10 should be it's own category.  10 and above makes me feel like I have a HUGE foot size!

Well, mine isn't on the poll, 8.5-9. It really depends on the shoe. I have very narrow feet with high arches, too, so sometimes finding shoes is hard.

I wear an 11 and I feel bad for the girls with a teeny tiny old size 10 who get lumped in with my Andre the giant feet.

I teeter between 10 and 11 but can usually fit into 10s which is good since finding 11s becomes a lot more difficult. I'm terrified that my feet will grow when I get PG later down the line and I won't be able to find anything.

So envious of you 5.5ers with your cute pixy feet. I'm an 8-8.5 and it seems my size shoe is always sold out.

This is interesting. I didn't realize 10 was such a common size.

I talked to a shoe salesman once, frustrated that they frequently didn't have my size, 6. He told me that they buy the shoes in lots and each lot has say, 12 shoes in it, with more of the larger sizes and only one or two size sixes because it's supposedly less common. And that's why they don't often have my size. I don't think it's that uncommon though. Frustrating.

Wow, I'm surprised by how many have 10 or above, too. I always thought I had kind of big feet since I can often wear 9. I would have thought 7-8 would be most common. I wonder if this means we have a lot of tall girls on this board.

almost true. They have the most in 7.5-8.5 with the fewest numbers of 6's and 10's. And if you're above a 10, you can forget it. The companies make smaller sizes that can be ordered but many companies don't even MAKE 11's. I'm an 11 right now b/c I'm overweight, but i am normally a 10. I always get so irritated and say 'You'd be in SO much trouble if I was Paris Hilton!' (famous size 11)

Put your big girl panties on and DEAL with it!
