Anyone watch &/or DVR soap operas?

It's a slow day, so I thought I'd ask.... 

So, DH will probably kill me for posting this, but he DVR's Days of our Lives everyday and we watch it at night---he's done this forever, it really cracks me up!

Then, during Christmas break this past year, I caught and episode of Young and the Restless which is a soap that I watched for years growing up and in college.  I started DVRing it since then and now we watch TWO soaps everynight...

are we the only losers that watch daytime soaps?!!?

Anyone remember the soap opera "Another World"  ---it was the first soap I ever watched, my grandmother who kept me as an infant-2nd grade had me watching it as a toddler until it went off the air sometime when I was growing up...

OMG yes!! I think at one time or another I was into every single soap out there (except Passions).   It's so funny because the draw for any soap is always one particular couples love story, then I get hooked.  Right now I'm expremely happy about the story line on Y&R with Nick & Sharon getting back together, although it's hit or miss when I catch the show.  Yes I remember Another Word with Anne Heche (?) who played twins Vicky & Marley, right?

For about 2 years I DVR'd General Hospital....but I couldn't keep up with watching the shows, and becuase I couldn't watch all the episodes, some of our other shows wouldn't record.  But damn, I love Soap Net!!!  

 


It's pumpkin time again!!

I dvr Guiding Light, which will going off air after 70+ years in September.

 

I grew up on Days of Our Lives and Another World.  Mom and Dad still DVR DOOL and watch it together every night.

LOL! I remember Another World...neither DH nor I watch soaps but my mom does. She DVRs them and watches Soap Channel for reruns. I grew up with my mom constantly recording them and watching them when she could. Another World was one of the ones she watched...that and Days of Our Lives and Young and the Restless. She learned a lot of her English from soaps because they showed Days of our Lives in Iran...somehow that helped her with her English. Go figure.
But, will I still be spoiled?

I record the bold and the beautiful daily. It's cheesy and predictable but I can't help it I like it. I grew up watching DOOL and another world. I remember Bo and Hope on the motorcycle and Patch and Kayla. I actually met Diedra Hall when I was in the second grade and thought it was so awesome that I got to meet Marlena.

I DVR General Hospital. What's nerdier is that I can watch it on Soap Net but I prefer to have it in HD.

I DVR Y&R!

Right now I'm really upset because Jamaican, they aren't putting Nick and Sharon back together. They tore them apart again and I think are planning on putting them back together in the fall. So much drama with that story line!
