Sour Cream mold?

Hi,

I have a tiny bit of mold on my sour cream, which smells okay, but is past the sell by date. Can I just scoop the mold off and use the sour cream on the bottom of the container?

Throw it out.  I've used it past the use by date, but in something that was going to be cooked and because I hadn't opened it yet.  However, I would not do that with mold on it.
