Swine Flu T&P request

Ye Gods!

My dd was happily at summer camp, having the time of her life.  One by one the counselors got sick, then a handful of campers.  Swine flu was confirmed and camp was shut down.   We picked her up this afternoon and took her right to Children's ER.

It takes two days to get the results back but the poor thing is very sick, 103 fever, achy, etc.  The worst part is that she has to be quarantined and far away from me because I'm 9 mos. pregnant, just in case she's positive for H1N1.

Only one case of a pregnant woman contracting swine flu (according to the ER doc) and that woman died. (!!!!!)

Swine flu at a Jewish summer camp?  Talk about non-Kosher.

Any and all T&P for my daughter's speedy recovery, negative for swine flu status, and me not contracting the flu, will be massively appreciated.

I feel so bad for her.  Even worse that her 13th birthday is on Sunday and she'll likely spend it sweating in her bed.Sad  And I can't get near her.

That is terrible!!!  I can't imagine anything worse then being sick and away from your mom on your birthday.  Not to mention camp getting shut down.  I hope she recovers very quickly.

Oh no!  That is terrible.  I hope that your dd feels better soon.  And I really hope that she is not positive for H1N1.  T&P your way!! Keep us updated.

Secondary IF blog

Lilypie

TTC#2, with Endo and compound hetero MTHFR. Lap 2/09 found stage 1-2 Endo in "significant" areas. Minor LPD. RE doesn't think any of that's the cause of our IF. IUI#1-3, BFN. On to IVF#1 and only...BFN. Was taking a break to figure out what to do next when we got a surprise BFP...only to have CP#2, 7 blasts on ice. FET possibly in spring 2010. SAIFW.

That's so terrible - I'm so sorry you're having to deal with that (especially at 9 mos pregnant).  Lot's of T & P for your daughter - I hope she's feeling much better soon.

sorry!  H1N1 flu is miserable - my friend just got over it.   I hope she feels better soon - and you don't get it!!!

Er, the kosher thing was my poor attempt at humor.

Thank you so much, everyone, for the T&Ps and info sharing.  It make take up to a week, we hear, to get the results on swine flu, but DD is already feeling a little better and her temp is lower today.

Hoping we can get back to our regularly-scheduled summertime soon!
