Just how giant is a giant cookie pan? Would putting a small amount in a cake pan work?

My favorite place on earth: The Amargosa Valley.

This is the pan that I used. According the site http://www.wilton.com/store/site/product.cfm?id=3E315301-475A-BAC0-5882385357369D5A&killnav=1

Approximately 11-1/2 x 10-1/2 in. x 3/4 in deep. Can be used with recipes that call for a standard 13 x 9 in. pan

I think you could try using a cake pan. Great idea.
