Remember the crappy secretary?

Our secretary is basically a rude PITA and they have been having issues with her since before I joined. She didn't waste time treating me the same way she was already treating everyone else. Everybody does their own secretary type work because nobody wants to deal with her. She never has anything to do. And she spends all her time reviewing policy so that when she is asked to do something she can ask a million questions and try to get us to say something that violates policy so she can file a grievance with HR. My motto has been to kill her with kindness so I have never been anything but friendly and courteous to her with a smile on my face no matter what she says/does. This has been, to my knowledge, about a year long journey with her and as of yesterday her supervisor received the all clear from HR and legal to FIRE HER!!! Big Smile I am so happy! Part of me is sad because I think there are actually some issues with this person, like issues requiring therapy. She genuinely feels like she is the victim and early on I tried to just avoid all existing issues but it quickly became evident she is just a horrible employee. We have put up with a LOT from her, it should not be this hard to fire someone. But it's almost over. Light at the end of the tunnel.

I do have children. They are just height challenged and have four legs, fur, and a slight speech impediment.

Don't feel bad, people who are fired are usually asking for it.

I used to have a sh!tty secretary.  She would actually have tantrums and slam doors.  In general she was a realbitch and no one ever wanted to ask her to do anything because it was easier not to have to deal with her.  Well, her position was eliminated two weeks ago.. I don't feel bad at all.  If she didn't suck at her job (her EASY job) she'd still have it.
