Removal for hard water build-up??

I have tried a lot of different things over the past couple of years, both chemical and natural to try to rid my ceramic tiles (tub surround) of the hard water stains. They're not so bad that you can visibly see them upon entering the shower, but they're definitely there. What is your go-to removal method?

p.s. I want to say that I remember them being there when we moved in. I'm not sure that they've gotten worse over the years, but they're not going away either.

I use CLR (calcium, lime, rust) solution. It smells awful and you must wear gloves, but it works. You may need to do it more than once and use it every few months.

I also use CLR and it works great!!  Make sure that you takes breaks because the fumes are overwhelming.

to avoid fumes you can try cutting a lemon in half and rubbing that on the walls (maybe even while you shower) and a lot of elbow grease.  It will take time over they will go away.

Another non chemical product I like is this dishwasher rince called "Citra" something.  I've used it on my drains and it works like a charm w/out any stinky fumes.

i've been using "magic erasers" on my shower for what i used to believe was soap scum, but now suspect is from water hardness and it works like a charm. i had to scrub the same spot for about 30 seconds until i got to the original surface of the tiles and glass, but after that it was easy to remove.
