How do you do your BBQ ribs

I have a package of spare ribs for tomorrow. I kind of want to try a different way. I normally brown them, put them in the slow cooker with liquid cook all day top with BBQ sauce, any different ways?

Use a dry rub and then stick in the oven at 250 for 2-3 hours, then add sauce, cover with foil and bake another 30-45ish minutes. Then I usually brush with more sauce and take the foil off for a few minutes.

I coat mine in a dry rub and let them "marinate" for a couple hours before covering in sauce and baking in the oven.

How long do you bake? I only have about 2 hours total from time I get home until we need to eat.

We put S&P on ours, put them on a pan, cover with foil and bake for 2-3 hours on low.  Then we take them out of the oven and finish them off on the grill constantly flipping adn coating with BBQ sauce.  They are moist and fall right off the bone every time!

I bake mine at 300 for 1.5 hours.  For a shortcut, I'd marinate it in the dry rub for 30 minutes - that should be your 2 1/2 hours.  And let it marinate at room temperature to cut down on the cooking time so you're not heating them from refrigerated.

Thank you, I am going to give it a go, maybe I will go home on lunch and marinate that will be about 5 hours and then bake for 2 hours or so.

I do mine like MWC, but I grill them at the end with the sauce.  I've often baked them the night before if I am short on time.  I just throw them on the grill, let them warm up a bit and get a few grill marks and then sauce them.

Okay if you're going to marinade for 5 hours, do it in the fridge - I'd hate for you or something growing in you to get sick ;-)

Just pull them out of the fridge when you get home and let them come to room temp before throwing them in the oven for 1.5 hours.

Sorry yes I was going to leave them in the fridge :) Think 8 hours would hurt then no lunch run!
