Home Insurance??

How much is your home insurance? What type of coverage do you have? I am going to call our agent in the morning, however I am working on a budget for a new house... just curious. TIA

Ours is just under $1000 a year.  This is going to vary a lot though depending on where you live, value of the house, whether you have a pool, type of roof, nearest fire station, nearest hydrant, etc., etc., etc.

DH did this before I met him, so I'm not sure on the coverage level. We pay $300/yr for our townhome and my wedding rings.

We have "regular" home insurance covering the structure and furniture, etc. (not jewelry - I have different coverage for my rings).  We also have supplemental liability insurance - an umbrella policy - which covers us if we are sued above and beyond the liability on our homeowners or auto insurance policies.  I think we got a good deal on our insurance because we have our policies through the same company which helped us maximize our discounts.  I don't live in a flood, hurricane,  or tornado prone area; I do live near a fire hydrant, fire house and in a low crime area.

Ours is somewhere between $500 and $550 a year. We live less than a mile from a fire house, also have car and life insurance through the same company to maximize discounts, and our area is not prone to a lot of natural disasters.

Home insurance varies greatly by location, type of house, value of house, proximity to a fire house, what type of natural disaster your area is prone to, etc. There's a lot of different factors that contribute to how much a policy is per year.
