Laura's interview reminded me...

Of an interview I had for a summer job.  I answered this ad, which wasn't too descriptive.  (It probably just said summer employment which was what I was looking for.)  I got to the place, and it was this somewhat empty office space, but filled with a whole bunch of other people like me.

Turns out they were looking for super excited and motivated people to go door to door selling.....

are you ready?

KNIVES!!!  Oh sure, come into my house and show me your knives.  What kind of idiot housewife is going to let someone into their house with a suitcase full of knives?

Yeah, I ran from that one!  No thank you!

OMG!!!

As I started reading your post, it reminded me of the time I answered this vague ad and showed up and got a presentation on selling KNIVES!! No kidding!!! Before I even got to that part and I hadn't scrolled so it wasn't even visible.

How funny!!

Was it Cutco Knives?  They are actually a pretty reputable company....Although I agree door-to-door knife sales is a bit sketchy...

My niece did the knife selling thing right after high school. She ended up having to buy them all herself.

What's black & white and green all over? Me in these shoes and everyone who sees them!!

My brother did that for a few weeks a few years ago.  I think he only really sold to my parents, grandma and a neighbor.  They are ok knives, but the door-to-door thing is weird.
