Hi - I have been around a couple of months... Unfortunately I can't post too much during the day (darn work) so I wanted to re-introduce myself.

 DH and I are 31. Got married in January. Wanted to start TTC in August so went to dr. for preconception meeting last month.  They found I have hypothyroidism, which apparently is causing me to have very short cycles (~17 days).  On synthroid now, so hopefully my cycle will regulate over next few months so I can start trying...  Can't wait!!  

 Love this board - everybody is so helpful!!

 I've been lurking for a few weeks. I was so sure that I never wanted to have kids, and then one day BAM I did. It's so bizarre. I have a minor phobia about medical stuff (specifically needles and blood), so to suddenly feel like, "so what, it's no big deal, think of what you'll get out of it - a baby!" is shocking to me. But exciting too. And when I brought it up to DH I thought he was going to fall out of his chair he was so surprised. But he couldn't stop smiling, and now he can't stop bringing it up! Lol.

 Although we are not ready yet (are planning a move to another state, job changes and wanting to get finances in order beforehand), we plan on TTC in a year or two.

 Oh - I am 30 and my DH is 32. We've been married for 2 years, but have been together for 10 (we met when we were college roommates).

Hi! I am 27 and my DH is 28. We have been married for almost 3 years. We have been TTC for 3 months now. I had a Mirena IUD.

We have a cat, Sassy, and a puppy, Molly. 

 

 

i sort of introduced myself but don't know what i actually said.  I'm Alisha & DH is mike, ages 30/35. We were married 9-13-08 so almost a year but have been together for 7 years. We haven't offically started TTC yet, but i'm going off BCP in 2 weeks then then it will be official. 

This board is filled with sooooo much information.  I try to sneak on here a little bit at work, but i've been so busy that it hasn't been that easy. I look forward though to getting to know everyone & getting lots of help.

Hello Ladies!

I'm new to this board, but not to the Knot. My DH and were married on July 16, 2009. He is 41 and I'm 31. He already has a little girl, whom I love! She is 8 and for 3 years has been asking for a brother or sister, who she can play with. We are going to TTC starting September of '09...or so we wanted. I was suppose to start my period this week and so far I have not...I feel like I have cramps and will get it soon, so I don't want to have false hopes. I will take a pregnancy test on Sunday if I don't get my period by then. I am hoping that I am, but I don't have any of the sympthoms...Wish me luck, that I am!

I am fairly new to this board. I have been lurking the past couple weeks though. I love how everyone is so nice and supportive on this board.

 Both DH and I are 27. We have been married for three years. We are anxiously waiting to get permission to proceed from the doctors to TTC. I have hyperthyroidism and have been working on getting it under control for the last year and a half. We are hoping to start TTC early next year if not sooner.

My name is Sheila, DH is Joe, we are both 25.  We were married on Nov, 10, 2007 (almost 2 years now).  This was our first cycle TTC, I'll be testing in about a week!  I'm super excited and nervous :)

Hi, I've lurked for a while but never posted on this board.  My name is Joanna, and DH is Tony.  I'm 31, he's 30.  We've been married 3 years, together for 11.  This is our first month TTC, and I've really enjoyed reading on this board.  I used to work at Planned Parenthood, so the technical stuff isn't too new, but it's so nice to have a place to read about everyone else's fears and journey.  I'm so glad you're all more brave than I am in sharing!

hi!  i can't post too much but you guys have answered every question i've posted so thank you for that!  i'm 26 and my dh is 29, he turns 30 in dec and that's when we're officially going to TTC.  i stopped bcp in april and my cycle has been wacky since then but i'm hoping it levels out before dec.

i've been on here for over a month now. i introduced myself a while ago but i never really did so in-depth. i'm 29, DH is 30, and we've been married for 4 years. we are going to start TTC very soon. GL to everyone!

oh hi!  DH and I just got married 7/25/09 and decided to start trying right away! I'm still waiting for my 1st period off BCP, currently on day 37 w/no BFP... getting frustrating!

I'm another person who lurks more than I post... I'm 28 and H is 31. We got married in May 07 and have been TTC for a couple months now.  I don't think I'll chart yet but if nothing happens after another 6 months or so, I'll probably start. I really enjoy this board and get a lot out of it even if I don't post!

Ive been here a month now (I bring my laptop with me on my lunch break so I can keep up lol) I love it!!

I'm 29 and DH is 30 (31 in sept) I'm a pre-k teacher and DH is a mgr at Valero. We have 2 dogs, Makeo and Dottie Dot. we got married dec 8, 07 and we ttc about a month or so ago. I'm really glad to be here!! 

 

I am new!  A little late to this post, lol, but here is my intro:

I am 27, DH is 31.  We've been married nearly 4 years.  We started TTC in May.  Our first cycle ended in a chemical pregnancy, and, I'm now on cycle #3.  I haven't started using OPKs or charting, my husband wants us to be "casual" about it until we see a problem (this is driving me a bit batty, but, I'm trying to be patient and appease him for now).  I have a history of ovarian cysts - or I guess one persistant ovarian cyst - I've had two surgeries to have it taken care of.  My doctor says this shouldn't affect my chances of conceiving. 

I kind of introduced myself yesterday, but I'll go again.  I'm Bri (29), my DH is Randy (30), and we got married on 10/04/08.  I just went off the pill about a month and a half ago and began charting right around the same time.  I have loved all the advice on this board thus far in my lurking!

 I am 22, as is DH, we have been married just over 3 months (5/17/09), and we're still contemplating the idea of TTC. We would both LOVE to have a baby now, but realize that waiting a few more years is probably a wise idea. However, after lurking on this board and becoming familiar with the idea of charting, I quit bcp to take matters into my own hands.

And my secret confession... DH and I just moved - we are totally absorbed in our jobs, and haven't really made friends yet... I look forward to checking GP everyday b/c I love the sense of community here and I feel like you are my friends. (A little creepy, I know...)

I'm 25 and my DH is 26. We got married 10/15/05 and spent out first 2 1/2 years of marriage in Japan (teaching English). When we moved back home we started talking about starting a family soon, so I decided to go off of BCP. We're now expecting our 1st.

Hi! I'm 27 my husband is 29 (?) We got married just about a year ago (Nov. 22, 2008) in Vegas. Our original plan was to adopt, we both really want to help a child in need, however due to where we live are getting a lot of red tape from nearby counties. So...we've decided to put that dream on hold and work on a new dream, TTC. I probably won't chart unless things don't do well on thier own.  Good Luck to everyone though!

Hey There!

I am new to being married but my H and I have been thinking about having a baby for about a year but wanted to get some other things in order first, like getting married. This will be my third child and his first. (whenever it happens). I have two little girls ages 2 and 3 and absolutly love having them that close! Never a dull moment!

We were going to try in a year but my H is in the military and we just got his orders Sunday saying that his ship out date is a year earlier than what we expected so were trying now instead of next year. Hopefully it happens sooner than later!

Hi! I have been checking out GP a little lately, still relatively new to the nest boards in general. I am 23 and DH is 24. We have been married for over 2 years now. For medical reasons, mostly my fa mily history of incredibly early menopause, we are slowing starting the TTC process, which is on hold until we figure out if we are moving in December or not....(although we did quite a bit of 'baby dancing' last month before we found out about the new opportunity in December).

This will be the first child for both of us and we are super excited to get started! I work in Municipal Government and DH is a Land Surveyor. Currently 4 of my closest girl friends are pregnant, so I am hoping maybe they rub off on me. :)

I posted an intro the other evening so not a lot of people may have seen it so I will go again!

My name is Kristin (31), my wonderful husband is Kelly and he is 30.  We were married 3/21/09 and started TTC about 2 months ago.  I was on BCP for 12 years before going off of it in June, since then things have been wonky and I am waiting for everything to get back to normal, which I know may take a while.  We have 2 dogs that are spoiled rotten (pictures in my siggy).  I am looking forward to getting to know all of you!

 I have been lurking for a few weeks now, and really love all the posts and info. on this board.  My name is Jaimee(26) , and DH is Ken(30).  We got married in August, and originally planned on waiting for a year, but have changed our minds!  We have been using FAM as our sole method of BC for the past 2 years, and have decided to "let nature take it's course" and not try to avoid pregnancy anymore.  We both really want a family, and are looking forward to getting out first BFP sooner rather than later!

My name is Fiona, I will be 25 this xmas. My husband is Ben and he will be 30 in Feb. We got married Oct. 26, 2008. We are very excited because we will be eating stale cake in 4 weeks.  We would like start TTC but we gotta knock out some big events before we start.

1. Me getting a better paid job (got college loans to pay off)

2. buy our first home

3. getting BCP out of my system (its been 3 months now)

4. having my in laws move out (they are currently staying with us till they get back on their feet. And if we add another mouth to feed, the funding would be really tight.)

Hi.  I've been lurking for a couple of weeks.  My DH and I got married in August 2009.  He is 45 and I will be 40 next week, so we figure this is about our last chance at a baby.  I was supposed to start my new pill pack today, so I am officially off BCP for the first time in 20+ years.  I started charting at the beginning of this cycle, so I am curious to see how that goes.  We have a meeting with my OBGYN this week for some q&a.  Wish us luck - we're going to need it.

hey! im new to the boards and married life...

im 25 and my husband is 27... we have been together for 6 years and finally got married on 10/10/09... i stopped taking birth control pills a week before we got married.. we decided that it was time to have a baby... come to think of it, he is more baby crazy than i am!

well, im looking forward to getting honest opinions and helpful advice...

I guess most everyone is charting instead which I can't relate to. Oh and I DDed that post, feeling silly having put it out there for everyone to see and no feedbacks. That's okay though.

Anyway, DH and I have been together for almost 10yrs, finally got married at the 7th year and 9months later were TTC. Nothing yet.
