Moving supplies

I'm sure this has been asked before, but do any of you ladies know of a place where I can purchase bubblewrap or paper for cheap? I can get boxes.  Most places I've looked, they cost quite a bit of money. ... Uhaul, storage companies, other moving companies.  I would order them online, but I need the stuff asap, and I would be worried they didn't ship in time.

Thanks for any suggestions you can give me.

I got some bubblewrap and paper stuff at Lowes this past weekend.  Check craigslist first though, and see if anyone is giving any away.  Good luck!

When we moved last summer I bought all of our moving supplies from UHaul.com and I had them the next day or the day after.

We bought our bubblewrap from Office Depot, and dumpster dived for a bunch of our boxes.  Some office stores will hold boxes for you, I did this two moves ago.  Liquor stores also have good boxes, particularly good for glasses & stemware.  Also see if there are any boxes on Craig's List (how we got rid of all of ours, for free), or if there are any recently moved Nesties near you (thanks QueSrah!).  Don't buy from UHaul, they're the most expensive!!

Do you mean newspaper?  I'd bet any store than sells them would give you the old ones free.  I much prefer paper to bubble wrap... it's so wasteful.

Check Lowe's, home depot and staples.  You might also want to check craigslist or ebay.

Thank you for the quick replies.  I'll check out the office supply stores and Lowes.  I've searched craigslist and there's been no local postings for moving stuff, I'll keep looking though.

Thanks again.  =0)

I bought bubble wrap at Target and then donated it to a UPS store after the move.

I may have some boxes.  Email me at jessamynjoy AT hotmail DOT com if you need them.

Good luck with everything!

Check craigslist too.  People usually offer their moving boxes/packing stuff for free once they're done.

I was on  Craigs List and there are several people with  free mving stuff.  Here is one:

Boxes big and small! Come and knock, because it's been rainy. We have a TON of packing paper too (blank newspaper). I haven't broken down some of the boxes yet because I have been stuffing all the paper back in. If you have an SUV it would be best because of the paper. I can help you break down the boxes I haven't yet after we put all the paper in your car (it only takes a second)

2046 Durand Dr., Reston, 20191. Call first to make sure we're home: 713-320-1233. I will probably be out all afternoon, but we should be home anytime after 6 pm. (This is Monday, 4/7)
