How many mortgage lenders did you meet with?

We have met with one so far. Seemed like a fair deal, but my Fi wants to meet with more than just one. Also, can we bring our credit report that we got from the first lender to the additional meetings so we dont get so many inquiries on our report?

I think each one will want to run their own credit report, but you could try.

We met with 3 lenders. Liked #3 the best.

Unfortunately we only have 2 local choices when it comes to people that will even touch the type of loan program we are doing.  I went with the first one that called me back....  That was 2 months ago and I still haven't heard from the second.  She is at times slow, but I hope that won't be a big deal because we really don't have another option at this point.

We didn't meet with any lenders in person...but I was in email contact with four different lenders to get GFEs when we shopping around.

It doesn't hurt your credit report to have your credit pulled multiple times for mortgage reasons as long as each report is pulled within 45 days.

and i know

Hi There ~

My FI and I met with 2 lenders - 1st with IndyMac Bank (before the went under) and then with B of A - we choose B of A because my mortgage person is really knows her stuff - all the 1st time homebuyer progroms that will work for us + she's very nice and helpfull - even though the process on getting approved was stressfull.

I took two weeks to get approved and underwriten - we were pre-qual during the meeting.

I would bring the credit report, however understand they will still have to pull thier own copy.

We only met with one.  We called around to others, though, and told them what #1 had offered us.
